Designed for 3D printing

This item was commissioned by a friend. The device is a flash holder for professional photo equipment. It was designed to fit a flash form the company Profoto. The plan was to commercialize it and manufacture it on demand, entirely on a 3D printer. Printed in fiber glass reinforced polyamide (PA). This design needed some research on the threaded parts since 3D printing does not excel in dealing with moving parts. We experimented and compromised before finding a fair solution. Unfortunately weeks after printing the first prototype the manufacturer of the flash came out with its own model. Bad timing on our side. Good exercise though.
