This as an Arduino (UNO) shield to help power and monitor a cheese crate (a fridge). This device control temperature and humidity to help my wife's cheese age correctly. It does a simple thing, but hides some complexity.

The process of designing a simple electronic device, exposed me to some details of this omnipresent component, the PCBs (Printed Circuit Board). Knowing how a PCB is made, allowed me to be critical of what I buy, or how to fix them (sometimes). I also understand I am a long way away from understand this incredibly complicated space, however, with this project, I am not scared to address controls in my work and It became clear what can be done on a budget and what is required for more reliable or precise applications.
